Zach Lasky

Hi, I'm Zach.

I'm a full stack software engineer with a strong frontend focus. I have been building software professionally since 2019, and over that time I have shipped scalable, high performance web applications as well as the internal platforms that teams rely on every day.

Most of my work lives where thoughtful engineering meets good user experience. I design modern frontend architectures, tune interfaces for both performance and usability, and take real pleasure in refactoring legacy systems into something clean and maintainable. I care about the details that users never see as much as the ones they do, because both are what make a product feel fast, reliable, and easy to use.

Beyond writing code, I enjoy leading initiatives that span multiple teams, aligning people around a shared technical direction, and turning complex requirements into seamless, efficient, and visually engaging web experiences. I like working on the hard problems that sit between disciplines, where the right solution depends on understanding the product, the people, and the system all at once.

Lately a lot of my work centers on weaving AI into the products I build. I like finding the places where a language model genuinely improves the experience, whether that means turning messy data into clear insights, automating tedious workflows, or adding features that would not have been practical before. I treat AI as another tool in the stack, integrating it thoughtfully so it feels reliable and useful rather than bolted on.

When I take on a project, my goal is always the same: software that is built to last, pleasant to work in, and genuinely useful to the people who depend on it.
